Frank Benson’s Castaway

Castaway (2018) is a bronze and acrylic polyurethane sculpture by artist Frank Benson, now in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art. Working through Gentle Giant Studios, from Benson's design, I sculpted the torso, cleaned up the remaining geometry, and keyed the piece in preparation for the lost-wax bronze casting method, prior to fabrication and casting.
